i am fortunate to not have any family members lose their lives in military service, although my grandfather was a pow during world war ii. too many families, however, have experienced the sort of loss that memorial day is designed to honor, and i made sure to take some time earlier today to acknowledge that reality. i hope you did, too.
It's nice to see MLB honor those who died while serving our country. I was at the Giants game yesterday and was very impressed with how they handled the holiday.
