i probably should have posted this back during the world baseball classic when ken griffey jr. really was back doing baseball things. the truth of the matter is that the title of the post is in regards to this 1999 topps picture perfect? insert

not sure why there is a question mark there - there is no doubt that junior's swing was picture perfect!
Normally I wouldn't be a fan of such a zoomed in photo... but there's something artistic about this one. Cool card.
ReplyDeleteI think this subset was supposed to say something is wrong with the picture. Maybe they removed the bat, or maybe it has something to do with the blurry Giants logo at the bottom?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think that Topps might've been asking the viewer if the picture was perfect or not. In my eyes, it's not terrible, but there still would've been room for improvement.
ReplyDeletethe backs of these cards have four statements about the player - one of which is false. you are supposed to look at the back of their base card to figure out which ones are true. would have been nice to have some information surrounding the question mark on the front!
