fernando tatis jr was, at one point, my favorite non-dodger. these days, i really don't follow his career too closely. still, i picked up an autographed card for my collection a couple of years ago:
tatis has yet to return to the production levels of his first three seasons, but he is still only 25 years old. even at his current pace he should be able to put together some significant counting stats assuming his health is maintained.
the padres aren't a team that i root for, but i do hope tatis gets back to the level of play we saw in 2021. to steal and modify a line from a comment matt left on my ronald acuna jr post, the game is more fun when he's playing well.
Crazy to think that he's still only 25. He's my favorite Padre... but it's hard to root for him if he's not on the field. Hopefully he comes back soon... and produces as the Padres make a push for the playoffs.

DeleteNice pickup! And to think the White Sox had him at one point. Wonder how the drug suspension will affect his overall career when it's all said and done.
