i figured today is a good day to share this 2021 topps stadium club chrome card that i sought out a couple of years ago.
gonzalez was a key bullpen piece for the dodgers in their 2020 world series champion season, but was dealt to the yankees before the 2024 season began. the yankees released him a couple of weeks ago and i am not sure if he has resurfaced anywhere. it sounded like there was concern about his k/9 ratio which is about half this year than it had been during his tenure with the dodgers.
hopefully he gets another look by a team, but if not, at least we have this card to remember him by.
I wonder what's going on in this photo. Is he writing something in the dirt? Maybe something he does whenever he enters the game?
ReplyDeleteHadn't seen him in a while; looks like he'd been in the minors since June. None of their relievers have been very good this year.
