i found this card when i was digging through a bunch of 1972 topps duplicates
i wonder if this card belonged to a kid who began collecting in 1971 and was perplexed by the 1972 cards not having a facsimile signature. my favorite scenario, however, is that this card belonged to a boy named "cesar cedno", and he laid claim to a card featuring a guy with a very similar name.
I concur, this is definitely an authentic Cesar Cedno autograph :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe he asked Cedeño for an autograph, and César Said No. B^)
ReplyDeleteLove that card, and love the auto too!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of an Encyclopedia Brown story in which the fake sword has a 'First Battle of Bull Run' engraving.
ReplyDeleteOver the past year... 100% of our assignments and projects have been online... so I can appreciate that some kid back in the day used this card to practice his cursive.
