bought back and traded

it was nice to see a post from captain canuck back at the end of july, and it inspired me to knock a couple of cards off of his want list. not too long after, i received return fire in the mail, and it was awesome.
that there is a 2020 topps heritage 50th (actually 49th) anniversary buyback of the dodgers team card, complete with one steven patrick garvey sitting in the front row. beckett claims that garvey's 1971 topps rookie card was stamped and included as a buyback in the 2020 heritage release, but i've not seen one hit ebay so this is the next best thing. i really doubt i will see a garvey buyback next year given his high number status in the 1972 set.

here's another buyback
this one is joe moeller, and it's from 2018.

i haven't seen any 2020 chrome of any sort down here in the states, but captain found some up in the hinterlads.  here are world champions max muncy
and clayton kershaw
from topps chrome, and here's keibert ruiz
and josiah gray
from bowman. at least i think these are the chrome inserts in bowman, and not bowman chrome proper? has bowman chrome even been released yet? it's hard to keep up.

finally, a regular 2020 bowman card of world champion cody bellinger
bellinger really did very little with the bat all year, including the vast majority of the postseason, but his defense was fantastic. hopefully he bounces back offensively next season.

thanks captain! sorry about your braves, but not really.

  1. I feel bad for the two guys who got obliterated by that stamp.

  2. Adding the Garvey buyback rookie would be a sweet addition. Best of luck. Hopefully the stamp isn't sideways :D
